2-vehicle accident on Hwy 218 Friday

There were no injuries after a two-vehicle accident in the 1300 grid of Highway 218 on Friday, Dec. 21, around 8:45 p.m.
The Henry County Sheriff's Office received several 911 calls reporting an accident on Highway 218 on Friday. Deputies responded and determined that Donald Peck, of Brighton, had collided with Randall Gingrich, of Kalona.
Peck was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion, which received damages estimated at $7,000. Gingerich was driving a 2015 Ford Edge, which received damages estimated at $10,000.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
