2nd man charged in sex abuse case

A second man was arrested in the case of sexual abuse to a minor in Henry County.
David Rice, 25, of Atkins, was charged with sex abuse in the third degree, a Class C felony, after further investigation into an earlier report of alleged sexual abuse.
Randall Stewart, of Salem, was the first to be charged with sex abuse in the second degree, a Class B felony, in this case after the Henry County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation of reports that he sexually abused a juvenile female. The Sheriff's Office received the report of alleged sexual abuse to a minor on Sept. 25.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
