757 new COVID-19 cases in Iowa

Iowa sees an addition 757 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday for a state total of 8,641, according to the Iowa Deparment of Public Health.
The state also saw an additional five deaths- two in Linn County, and one in Polk, Tama and Woodbury County, respectively. All five deaths were older adults, between the ages of 61 and 80.
87% of the new cases come from the 22 counties where restrictions and closures on businesses remain, according to a release from the Governor's office. 493 of the new 757 positive cases are from the Black Hawk, Dallas, Polk and Woodbury County areas.
Across the state, 353 individuals are currently hospitalized and 3,156 have recovered from the virus.
Locally, Washington County saw one additional case, for a total of 145 cases. Henry County remains at 32 cases and Jefferson County remains at six cases.
According to IDPH, there have also been an additional 3,377 negative tests in the state, for a total of 41,085 negative tests to date.
