9 additional COVID-related deaths, 528 new cases in Iowa

Iowa saw an additional 528 new coronavirus cases and nine deaths on Sunday, according to data from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
The 528 new cases follow two of the biggest daily increases in coronavirus cases in the state - 740 on Friday and 757 on Saturday. Currently, the state has a total of 9,169 confirmed cases.
The nine additional deaths brings the state total to 184 COVID-related fatalities. Sunday's deaths were in Black Hawk, Bremer, Dallas, Debuque, Polk and Poweshiek County.
Sunday saw only four new cases in the Tri-County area. Washington County reported three new cases for a total of 148, and Henry County reported one additional case for 33 total cases. No new confirmed cases were reported in Jefferson County, which currently has six cases.
To date, 53,186 Iowans have been tested and 3,325 confirmed cases have recovered, according to the IDPH.
