WASHINGTON - Pizza delivery drivers were kept busy for most of Super Bowl Sunday.
The delivery cars could be seen driving from house to house all day, only stopping to pick up more pizzas.
With concerns for COVID-19, many people decided to watch the game at home and order in.
Pizza Ranch Manager Michael Pringle said by 5 p.m. the store doubled its sales compared to previous years. General Manager Eric Pringle said many people used to think of the restaurant as buffet only but with the COVID-19 pandemic they have been advertising pickup and delivery.
He said they recently added wings to the menu.
Pizza Hut Manager Shane Owens said the store was busy all day. He said it was mostly deliveries and earlier in the day there were big orders.
Casey's Manager Brenna Burlingane said the store sold around 150 pizzas on Sunday.
All three pizza places said it was busier compared to previous Super Bowls.
