The Mt. Pleasant seventh-grade girls? ?A? team remained undefeated after traveling to Ft. Madison last week and defeating the Bloodhounds, 38-6.
The ?B? team was dealt its first loss, and the ?C? team fell in its season opener.
In the A game, the Panthers went up 16-0 in the first quarter, getting all they would need to win the game.
They were leading 28-4 at halftime and 34-6 at the end of the third quarter ...

The Mt. Pleasant seventh-grade girls? ?A? team remained undefeated after traveling to Ft. Madison last week and defeating the Bloodhounds, 38-6.
The ?B? team was dealt its first loss, and the ?C? team fell in its season opener.
In the A game, the Panthers went up 16-0 in the first quarter, getting all they would need to win the game.
They were leading 28-4 at halftime and 34-6 at the end of the third quarter before shutting out their opponents once again in the final minutes of the game.
They are now 2-0 on the season.
Jackie Fraise and Kalynn Batey each scored a game-high nine points for Mt. Pleasant.
Delaney McDowell added eight points to the Panthers? total and Ashlee Menke scored six. Taylor Murray contributed four points and Pearl Krieger-Coble scored two.
In the B game, Mt. Pleasant lost by a score of 6-4 and dropped to 1-1 on the season.
Krieger-Coble and Bailey Batten each scored two points.
The C team, which is now 0-1, was held scoreless in a loss to Ft. Madison, 16-0.
The Panther teams will play again Thursday when they host Washington at 4:30 p.m.
