Accident at Grand and Washington intersection Wednesday
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Grand Ave. and Washington Street on Wednesday, July 18 at 2:30 p.m.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department investigated a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Grand Ave. and Washington Street on Wednesday, July 18 at 2:30 p.m.
Robert Batey, of Mt. Pleasant, was driving a 2012 GMC traveling southbound through the intersection of Grand and Washington when he was struck by Cody Clayton, of Mt. Pleasant, driving a 1991 Ford Ranger. Clayton was traveling eastbound on Washington Street.
Damage to both vehicles is estimated at $3,000. There were no injuries.
Clayton was issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign.
