Accident reported in Wellman Tuesday
WELLMAN ? Peter Gordon Schwartz, 18, of Webster, was involved in a fender bender in Wellman Tuesday in which he was cited for failure to stop within an assured clear distance.

WELLMAN ? Peter Gordon Schwartz, 18, of Webster, was involved in a fender bender in Wellman Tuesday in which he was cited for failure to stop within an assured clear distance.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Schwartz was eastbound on Highway 22 near Sixth Avenue in Wellman at 7:42 a.m. Tuesday. He waved at a friend along the road and then rear-ended a vehicle in front of him that was turning north onto Sixth Avenue. That vehicle was driven by Alivia Paige Fox, 16, of Wellman. Schwartz?s vehicle suffered an estimated $4,000 in damage and Fox?s vehicle suffered an estimated $500. The Iowa State Patrol report indicates that it was raining at the time of the collision.
