FAIRFIELD – Addington Place of Fairfield is hiding 3,000 Easter eggs filled with treats and surprises for an event this Saturday, April 12.
The event, “3000 Eggs at 3000 W. Madison,” a reference to the senior living center’s address, will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Addington Place will have complimentary donuts and coffee, and guests will get the chance to mingle with staff and take a tour of the facility.
Josie Heilmann, director of sales at Addington Place of Fairfield, said the senior living facility has done Easter egg hunts for at least a decade, except during the COVID pandemic.
“We’ve always invited the public and the St. Mary’s congregation,” Heilmann said, referring to St. Mary Catholic Church just next door. “We’re really excited we’ll be able to host it outside no matter what because it’s supposed to be sunny and warm.”
Heilmann said staff and residents alike have been busy stuffing eggs in the weeks leading up to Saturday’s big event.
“We’re doing a combo of toys and candy, to make sure the Easter egg hunt can be done by anybody even if they can’t eat the candy,” Heilmann said.
Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by calling 641-255-2521 by April 10.
