WEST UNION (AP) ? An eastern Iowa police chief says he arrested a felon wielding a firearm after witnessing an altercation outside his own home.
West Union Police Chief Brent Parker says he saw 49-year-old Doug Bunn holding a shotgun during the altercation with another man Wednesday.
KWWL-TV reports that the chief ran out of his residence after witnessing the altercation through a window and took Bunn into custody.
West Union authorities seized multiple firearms from Bunn?s home. He was arrested for possession of a firearm as a felon, going armed in a city and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He?s being held at the Fayette County Jail.
