Ainsworth Four Corners celebrating 60 years

AINSWORTH - For the past 60 years, the Ainsworth Four Corners has been serving up slices of pie and tradition. On Tuesday, July 30, a ribbon cutting was held in honor of their 60th anniversary.
Diane Anding, the current owner, said the restaurant was opened by her father in 1959. An entrepreneur at heart, she said he was looking for a niche market. He found one in Ainsworth where there were not any fast food places or chain restaurants around.
'He was always speculating. He was a farmer and was always doing all kinds of things, including banking,” she said. 'I think that there was a need for it at that time. There weren't all these chain stores.”
Since it first opened its doors, the restaurant has been a family affair and Anding's daughter, Breana Ulin, has fond memories of growing up waitressing at the restaurant. She said her grandfather was an innovator who knew people would enjoy good family cooking.
Watching her mom take over and run the business successfully has been a proud time for her, she said, because it shows the innovation and dedication her mom has committed to the job.
'I'm very proud of all mom has done and the energy, passion she's put into this restaurant over the years,” she said. 'It's mostly fun to see the joy the community brings to mom. She loves the people in the area.”
