All three county campgrounds will be open

All three Jefferson County campgrounds will be open this weekend.

Jefferson County's three campgrounds are Jefferson County Park (southwest of Fairfield), Mac Coon Access (5.5 miles north of Lockridge) and Round Prairie Park (9 miles southeast of Fairfield).

Jefferson County Park offers 24 camp pads, complete with electricity, in the camping area. Modern restrooms, hot showers, drinking water, a small shelter house, playground equipment and a trailer waste dump station are all provided for the camper.

Mac Coon Access offers a restroom, shelter house, electricity, playground equipment, a concrete boat ramp and fish cleaning station.

Round Prairie Park has electricity, drinking water, pit toilets, picnic shelter, fishing, canoe access, playground and prairie plantings.
