Alverta Winifred Woodsmall

Alverta Winifred Woodsmall, 83, of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kimzey Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Dianne Brokken officiating. Burial will be in New Sweden United Methodist Cemetery.

Family visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. Woodsmall was born May 23, 1928, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Bert and Margaret McGuigan Hill. She married Paul Leonard ?Jake? Woodsmall Oct. 6, 1944, in Mount Pleasant. The couple later divorced.

Survivors include five sons: Jerry Woodsmall and wife Carla of Lockridge, Ronald Woodsmall and wife Barbara of Rockford, Ill., Tim Woodsmall and wife Cherri of Mount Carmel, Ill., Kevin Woodsmall and wife Teresa of Mount Pleasant and Paul Woodsmall of Mount Pleasant; one daughter: Anna Marie Baxter of Mount Pleasant; two daughters-in-law: Jane Woodsmall and Marianne Woodsmall, both of Mount Pleasant; one brother: Duane; two sisters: Lil and Annie; 24 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.
