Andy Ashby, M.D. to join WCHC Ken and Rosemary Hanson Specialty Clinic

WASHINGTON — Washington County Hospital and Clinics is pleased to announce Dr. Andy Ashby, a board-certified Pulmonologist, has joined the medical team at WCHC Ken and Rosemary Hanson Specialty Clinic. Dr. Ashby will begin to see patients on May 15, 2023.

“Dr. Ashby will be a fantastic addition to our medical staff,” said Todd Patterson, Chief Executive Officer at WCHC. “Andy is an extremely skilled pulmonologist who will meet a significant medical need in our community.”

Dr. Ashby received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Health Care. In addition, he completed a Pulmonology and Critical Care fellowship at UIHC. Dr. Ashby previously worked at Mercy Iowa City and has provided pulmonology care at WCHC for around 10 years in an outreach capacity.

Dr. Ashby will bring comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultation and management of pulmonary diseases. He will be seeing patients Monday through Friday in the Ken and Rosemary Hanson Specialty clinic. Patients can call 319-653-3936 to schedule an appointment.
