Area schools celebrate graduation
Three area high schools are holding graduation ceremonies Sunday, capping secondary education careers for 131 students.
Van Buren High School will graduate 34 seniors beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the high school gym.
The senior awards assembly is at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the high school.

Class of 2013 valedictorian and salutatorian Graham Wittrock and Rachel Wonderlich are graduation speakers.
The band and choir will provide music at the ceremony.
Pekin Class of 2013?s motto is ?We have come a long way but not half as far as we will go.? The class flower is a red rose dipped in silver and class colors are lavender and silver.
