Assistant Henry County Attorney Terri Quartucci will become a full-time employee of the department on Jan. 1, 2019.
Quartucci is currently a part-time employee, and Henry County Attorney Darin Stater requested an employee status change for her during a Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
'She does a great job,” Stater said. 'Overall, we're in great shape in our office. I think it's running really well.”
Tammy Mulford, office manager, said Quartucci's hours have been steadily climbing since she began with the department. Quartucci handles juvenile cases, which have doubled from fiscal year 2016 to 2016 to fiscal year 2017 to 2018. She also works on domestic cases, OWIs and post-conviction cases.
Quartucci qualifies for the county's health insurance by working over 29.5 hours a week and is close to working the 37.5 hours weekly of a full-time employee. Mulford said those extra hours she doesn't work as a part-time employee will be easily filled once she comes on full-time.
Stater does not think the department will have to amend their budget for the change in employee status.
