Pictured are the Fairfield boys? basketball award winners following Thursday?s season-ending banquet at Fairfield High School, from left: Cody Kool, Nik Fitch, Davis Lowenberg, Brent Buch and Matt Carr. Kool was named the Most Improved Player and also received the Windex Award and second annual Jordan Leazer Take Charge Award after leading the Trojans in rebounds (177) and charges drawn. Fitch took home the Mr. Assist Award for leading Fairfield with 51 dimes as well as the Coach?s Award. Lowenberg was named Most Valuable Player, as voted on by his teammates, after leading Fairfield in points (275) and blocks (12) and tallying the second-highest rebound total (138). Buch was given the Man of Steal Award for the second consecutive season, leading Fairfield with 38 takeaways, and he also took home the Coach?s Award. The Most Promising Player honor went to Carr, who averaged 8.6 points while making 38 treys on the JV squad this season. Captains for the 2012-13 season also were announced at the banquet, and juniors Darrin Dimmitt, Dillon Fry and Spencer Peterman were chosen.
