Be a Master Gardener

Henry County Extension is offering the winter Master Gardeners class starting in January.

Master Gardener classes will meet Tuesday nights from Jan. 15 until March 19 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. There will also be some locally-set dates that have not been scheduled yet.

In addition to the Tuesday night classes there will be a class on Saturday, Feb. 23 on campus in Ames.

After completion of the course work, the Master Gardener intern will need to complete 40 volunteer service hours.

After that they become a Master Gardener, and they will need to complete six hours of continuing education and six hours of volunteer service per year to remain active.

There is a cost for this class.

Please contact the Henry County Extension Office no later than Jan. 7 to register for the class.
