Behner Funeral Home awards Give Back checks

Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield is continuing its “Give Back” campaign started in January by having the public vote on charities to receive $500 checks from the business.

In the first round of checks given out in early February, Behner Funeral Home made donations to Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation and Fairfield Youth Performing Arts.

In the second round of voting, Behner Funeral Home announced that the African Violet Foundation and Fairfield Community Schools (designated for Camp Courageous and milk money) would receive $500 checks each.

Rachel Brown told The Union that the funeral home plans to do “pop up” Give Back checks over the next couple of weeks to businesses that have been nominated several times but not yet received an award.
