AINSWORTH — The Ainsworth Fire Department’s annual biscuits and gravy breakfast is this weekend, with drive-thru-only service at the city’s fire station from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday, March 12.
The price of a pickup is any freewill donation. Fire Chief Waylon Schultz pitched the carryout meals as a way to help the community adapt to daylight saving time, which begins on the same day.
“Our annual drive through biscuits and gravy is the perfect way to help you through springing those clocks ahead,” he said. “You lose an hour of sleep, so let us take care of cooking your breakfast.”
Schultz said proceeds would go toward updating some of the department’s older fire equipment.
