WASHINGTON — ImpactLife will hold its “Heroes for Life” blood drive at KC Hall in Washington on Thursday, April 17, from 1:30-6:30 p.m., in an annual collaboration with the local Lions Club.
According to Lions Club Blood Drive Coordinator Ron Andersen, reserved appointments are preferred at the event, but walk-ins are welcome, provided donors are willing to wait for an opening in the schedule.
He added that the yearly event was an important project for the organization.
“It’s a community service,” Andersen said. “This is one way that the Lions Club helps serve the community, it gets the blood drive donations flowing. Blood drives are essential because there’s always a little bit of a shortage of blood, and it’s desperately needed.”
Those interested can book their donation appointment at bloodcenter.org, or email Randersen@iowatelecom.net for further questions.
