Residents of Wayland are currently under a boil order, according to city officials.
Following a water main break Monday evening, residents along South Second Street from Washington to Pearl streets were placed under a boil order.
City Clerk Beverly Conrad said as of 8:30 a.m., the water main has been repaired, but the boil order is still in place. ?We have taken and tested the water and are waiting for results,? she said.
Once the city receives confirmation the water is safe to drink they will notify the public the boil order has been lifted.
?We just want to thank everyone for their cooperation at this time,? she added.
