Bonnie Jean Palmer, 92, died on March 29, 2016, at the Newton Presbyterian Manor Claassen Neighborhood.
Funeral Mass will be held on 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, in Newton, with Rev. Nicholas Voelker celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery, in Newton, Kan.
Memorials are suggested to the Newton Presbyterian Manor Employee Christmas fund or the Mt. Pleasant Community School Music Boosters in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
Palmer was born on Nov. 9, 1923, the daughter of George and Hallie (Crobarger) Haun, at her parent?s country home, in Rural Sedgwick County, Kan. She graduated from East High School, in Wichita, in 1941. She attended State University for one year. She married William Charles Palmer on June 28, 1942, at the chapel at Lackland Airforce Base, in San Antonio, Texas. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, in Newton, Kan.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Palmer is survived by her sons, Charles Edward (Mary) Palmer, of Saginaw, Texas; Philip (Lois) Palmer, of North Newton, Kan.; her daughters, Phyllis Mary (Duane) Graber, of Mt. Pleasant; and Carolyn Jean Palmer, of Newton, Kan.; several grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
