Branstad to visit Fairfield Tuesday

Governor Terry E. Branstad is scheduled to be in Fairfield Tuesday afternoon on the second leg of his ?Working Together for a Better Future? tour.

The tour launched June 6 in Des Moines and is making its way to 43 cities across the state. Branstad is traveling the state to discuss the state?s budget and his plans to restore honest budgeting practices. The tour is meant to provide Iowans information regarding his administration?s plan to build a strong fiscal foundation for the future and create jobs in Iowa.

Tuesday, the governor will make two stops in the area; the first at 11:30 a.m. at The Bridge View Center in Ottumwa, and the second at 1 p.m. at Revelations Café and Bookstore in Fairfield.

Both events are open to the public.
