Ainsworth boil order lifted
AINSWORTH — Residents are no longer under an advisory to boil their water after well repairs last week and a positive Bac-T test put the city on alert.
“We are pleased to report that the work has been completed and the bacteria samples were satisfactory (contained no bacteria,)” a news release from the city of Ainsworth said. “It is no longer necessary to boil your water before use. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
The update was released shortly before noon Wednesday, Sept. 28. The city said questions and comments about the incident could be sent to Water Operator Brian Portwood, at 319-936-4189.
