Bridge projects close Exit 210 access to Fairfield
The Iowa Department of Transportation announces the closing of Business 34 west of Fairfield due to bridge reconstructions.
At 10 a.m. Monday, access into Fairfield from the Highway 34 Exit 210 will be closed to replace bridges over Mitchell Creek and Shirts Creek.

The Iowa Department of Transportation announces the closing of Business 34 west of Fairfield due to bridge reconstructions.
At 10 a.m. Monday, access into Fairfield from the Highway 34 Exit 210 will be closed to replace bridges over Mitchell Creek and Shirts Creek.
Mitchell Creek crosses Business 34 east of the Exit 210 interchange where the tall radio tower is. Shirts Creek crosses Business 34 further west of the interchange.
Those living between the two bridges will have access to their homes via exit 210.
It is anticipated the work will last into the fall.
Local traffic going to or coming from the north and west, such as Batavia, Agency and Ottumwa, will use Exit 212 at Highway 1 when traveling on Higheay 34.
