Bridge repairs starting south of Wellman
WELLMAN — County officials say they’ll close Dogwood Ave. a mile south of Highway 22 for bridge repairs starting Oct. 12.
“The repair project will add steel piling supports to both abutments of the 100-foot bridge to extend its service life,” a news release Washington County Engineering and Secondary roads said. “The work will be completed by Iowa Bridge and Culvert of Washington, who was awarded the project with a competitive bid of $76,760.00.”
The news release said officials expected the project to take three weeks. Questions about the project can be directed to the Washington County Engineer at 319-653-7731.
