The city of Brighton is looking into a possible hike in gas rates.
Three members of the Brighton City Council, along with Mayor Melvin Rich, took part in a special meeting Tuesday night to discuss gas rates.
'We had a Zoom meeting with a representative from our gas supplier, Clayton Energy,” Rich said. 'We had some council members who had questions regarding costs like transportation costs.”
He said that the city wants to make sure that its gas rates are what they should be.
Rich said the council received from 'good guidance” from the Clayton Energy representative.
'We took no action,” Rich said.
The full council will discuss the city's gas rates at its next regular meeting at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6.
