Brighton man leads Washington Sheriff’s on chase, faces 11 charges

WEST CHESTER - A traffic stop turned into a foot chase that ultimately ended with 11 charges in the arrest of a Brighton man.
An officer with the Washington County Sheriff's office stopped a vehicle on Ginko Avenue and 210th Street at 12 p.m. Thursday. After the driver ran away nine additional personnel were called in for assistance.
Steven Lee Myers, 31, of Brighton was arrested and charged with: two counts of reckless driving, two counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault on a peace officer while using/displaying a weapon, two counts of interfering with official acts while carrying a weapon, two counts of assault while participating in a felony and driving while barred.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
