Brighton will elect new council member in late March

BRIGHTON — A special election will take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, for the purpose of filling a vacant position on the Brighton City Council.
Nomination paperwork is now available at the Washington County Auditor’s Office for residents of the City of Brighton who wish to be a candidate for the position. The required nomination paperwork, which includes a properly-completed Affidavit of Candidacy as well as a Nomination Petition, is due in the office of the Brighton City Clerk no later than Friday, March 1, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Main Street during weekday hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or by downloading the required documents which are available at co.washington.ia.us.
