Join the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce as we celebrate our rich agriculture community! The 2024 Barnyard Bash is presented by Jefferson County Farm Bureau and Agri-Industrial Plastics Company. Together we are delighted to announce the upcoming Barnyard Bash, a family-friendly event set to take place at the historic Maasdam Barns on Friday, Sept. 13 from 4-7 p.m.
The Barnyard Bash promises an afternoon of fun and entertainment for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the beautifully preserved Maasdam Barns, enjoy a variety of activities, and indulge in delicious food and fun.
The fun begins at 4 p.m. which will include various area businesses with agriculture related booths and interactive activities! A bounce house, a tractor-cade, horse drawn wagon rides, barrel train rides, antique tractors, and many more displays and demonstrations will take place throughout the evening. A favorite is returning with the giant bubble making activity at the Chamber booth. There will be animals for children to pet and learn about, ropemaking, corn shelling, and putting hay up with a horse. So much fun to be had!
“We are excited to bring the community together for a day of fun and celebration at the Barnyard Bash,” said Jason Davis, Committee Chair. “Maasdam Barns is a cherished landmark in our community, and this event is a wonderful way to showcase its history while providing a day of enjoyment for families.”
Food will be available at the event for purchase. The Jefferson County Cattlemen's Association will be on site grilling. NEW this year, the Chamber will have lemonade shake-ups for purchase at the event.
Grab the kids and head over to the historic Maasdam Barns for food and family fun until 7 p.m. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy all the interactive agriculture exhibits and the historic Maasdam Barns.
Parking is available at the Jefferson County Health Center parking lot; a shuttle service will be available to take event attendees directly to the barns.
There is still time to sign up to host a booth or sponsor part of the event. Contact Mendy McAdams to be included at Chamber@FairfieldIowa.com
