Burlington man gets arrested instead of ride home from police
A Burlington man was arrested on drug related charges after police officers noticed his disabled vehicle and attempted to help him find a ride home.
Jason Dewayne Hatton, 18, of Burlington, was found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia and later arrested.

A Burlington man was arrested on drug related charges after police officers noticed his disabled vehicle and attempted to help him find a ride home.
Jason Dewayne Hatton, 18, of Burlington, was found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia and later arrested.
At approximately 9:44 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff?s Office received a report of an occupied disabled vehicle in the 2300-grid of Highway 34. According to police reports, officers were trying to help Hatton secure a ride for the occupants of the car when they found marijuana.
Hatton was arrested and taken to Henry County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The Iowa State Patrol assisted at the scene.
In other news, on Thursday, Dec. 4, at approximately 6:42 a.m., the Henry County Sheriff?s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 grid of Highway 34 for a speeding violation. Upon investigation, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Jeffery Davis, 44, of Iowa City, was arrested and charged with driving while barred, driving under suspension and speeding.
