Burlington man to hold book readings in Fairfield, Keosauqua
Oct. 17, 2023 12:45 pm
Native Burlington resident Stephen Rowley will be at the Fairfield Public Library for a book reading and signing at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19. He will also appear later at 4 p.m. at the Hotel Manning in Keosauqua that same day.
He will read from his new book “The Lost Coin: A Memoir of Adoption and Destiny,” in which he tells of his lifelong search for his birth parents and his quest to answer one question: Who am I?
A Burlington High School graduate of the class of 1967, Rowley enjoyed a 40-year career in K-12 and higher education as a teacher and administrator. Rowley is now in private practice as a psychotherapist on Bainbridge Island, Washington, where he has lived with his wife for 20 years. His book is dedicated to his lifelong friend and mentor, Bob Galloway, a well-known teacher and community member in the area.
