Officers have talked to several witnesses as they continue to investigate a fatal shooting at a Burlington home.
On Tuesday, Police Lt. Dennis Kramer would not characterize the inquiry as a homicide investigation. Kramer says investigators have ruled out an accidental shooting and a botched murder-suicide. He says no arrests have been made or charges filed.
Kramer says the two people were shot on the front porch of a Burlington residence Friday night. Police say 22-year-old Terrell Miller died at the scene and that 28-year-old Jacqueline Williams was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A hospital spokeswoman says she can?t provide any information on Williams.
Both lived in Macomb, Ill., and were in Burlington to visit friends.
