Burlington road work begins Monday
Road construction work continues on U.S. 34 in Burlington and requires lane restrictions and ramp closures beginning Monday, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation?s Mt. Pleasant construction office.
Road pavement patching and shoulder widening and paving work will occur from Mt. Pleasant Street to the Main Street bridge in Burlington.

Road construction work continues on U.S. 34 in Burlington and requires lane restrictions and ramp closures beginning Monday, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation?s Mt. Pleasant construction office.
Road pavement patching and shoulder widening and paving work will occur from Mt. Pleasant Street to the Main Street bridge in Burlington.
This project is expected to be completed by late December.
IDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, obey posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
