Burn ban begins today
Jefferson County is under a burn ban, which began at 1:30 p.m. today and will continue until further notice.
?Absolutely no outside burning of any kind is allowed,? said Fairfield Fire Department Chief Scott Vaughan, explaining that the ban also includes burn barrels.
Vaughan said the ban would continue until an appropriate amount of rain has fallen.
