Cambridge announces promotions
Several employees at Cambridge Investment Research Inc.?s headquarters in Fairfield have been promoted.
Kari Burgason has been promoted to a regional consultant on the transition team. She joined advisor services as a Cambridge Logistics and Information Center coordinator in July 2008. In July, Burgason transferred to the transition team as an associate regional consultant, where she takes a lead role in consulting with advisors and their staff as they transition to Cambridge.
Mary Arnold has been promoted to senior associate regional consultant. Arnold joined Cambridge in March 2007 as a Pershing operations coordinator before transferring to advisor services in March 2008. In her new role, Arnold will continue assisting the regional consultants in transitioning advisors as they join Cambridge. In addition, she will play an active role in her department and company training programs, serve as a leader of the Transition Workflow Group and participate in the Office Solutions Workshops.
Shayna Housholder has been promoted to senior brokerage onboarding specialist. Householder joined the company in October 2009. In her new role, she will assist with training, balancing workflow and handling escalated items. Housholder passed the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 7 license exam in May. The Series 7 (General Securities Registered Representative) is considered to be one of the more comprehensive and lengthy exams administered by FINRA, mainly because it is required of anyone who intends to become a licensed stock broker. Although most Cambridge associates are not registered representatives, the wealth of industry knowledge gained from preparing for the exam is invaluable and enables them to better understand the unique issues related to serving Cambridge advisors.
Cambridge also recognizes Rebecca Moran for receiving the Registered Corporate Coach designation in May. The intermediate credential is awarded to business coaches who have learned key principles, skills and techniques for coaching effectively in businesses and organizations. Registered Corporate Coaches are trained in both internal and external coaching. As internal coaches, they work with executives and managers to strengthen the organization?s corporate culture. As external coaches, they work with businesspeople at all levels to help them succeed both personally and professionally.
Matt hired as casting agent assistan
t
Lisa Matt, formerly of Fairfield, recently began working as a casting assistant for Bunim/Murray reality TV show ?Best Ink,? which will air on the Oxygen network in the fall.
According Matt?s mother, Cathy Matt of Fairfield, casting calls for tattoo artists were held in winter, and the search is now on for the individuals who will get the tattoos.
?Each person has to have a back story, which is where her screenwriting comes in,? said Cathy Matt. ?This reality TV production company wanted Lisa to work on a show earlier, but she was too busy with school. So they will probably have her work on other projects when this show has been cast.?
Lisa Matt wrote a student film, ?The Fantasy.? which was produced at University of Southern California. The film, which has adult content, can be found at dl.dropbox.com/u/30749648/FantasyLowRes.mov.
Matt was on the team that wrote the pop-up comments and jokes for the Disney Channel movie ?Sharpay?s Fabulous Adventure: What?s What Edition? that aired Friday night. She also worked on the ?Lemonaide Mouth What?s What Editon.?
