As The Ledger?s new website grows every day at Fairfield Ledger/VillageSoup, individuals, businesses and community organizations now have the opportunity to become part of the new and growing social media community.
A new feature of The Ledger?s online presence is the ability to share space with businesses and organizations that likewise have messages for the community. Member users will have the ability to upload stories or photos, create blogs or comment on contributions made by other members.
The four membership opportunities are available on the website?s ?Join? page:
? Premium iMember provides complete online access plus a newspaper subscription;
? iMember offers complete online access;
? bizMember allows businesses to provide a variety of offers and information, as well as enhance any existing online activity;
? orgMember offers a similar opportunity for qualified charitable organizations to provide information and services.
A membership provides access to links, such as FaceBook, Twitter and other social media, and also enhances companies? online search capabilities and provides user data breakdowns. Posting stories of promotions, new product lines, sales or any news to be prominently features on the site is only the beginning of the possibilities.
Member users will receive an enhanced listing page, which equals the business or organization?s own micro website. The group will join the growing list of businesses from throughout southeastern Iowa to be posted on a comprehensive searchable director that will be available to all site visitors.
The package includes a multimedia map of the business or organization that is posted on the micro website and a banner advertisement ? including name, address and phone number ? that rotates through the entire Ledger site. The micro site also will automatically archive anything posted. The micro site also boasts the ability to upload anything from PDF files, meaning product lists or menus can be featured on the site, and up to 30 digital photographs. A blog also can be created on the site for interaction with customers.
