Candidate Tim Ryan visits Fairfield

Democratic presidential candidate Tim Ryan, left, visited the Fairfield home of Stan and Debi Plum during a campaign stop April 20. Ryan is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio, and gave the commencement speech at Maharishi University of Management's graduation in June 2017. Ryan's campaign stop touched on issues such as the economy, education focusing on the need for nutrition and the social and emotional needs of children. He also discussed water quality issues and alternative energy. Stan remarked, 'Things like this are what I truly love about living here. Instead of watching candidates on TV or at an auditorium, we can meet them in the living rooms of our community.”
