Candidates file for school board seat
Two candidates, Stephen Robert Pumphrey and Philip Miller, have filed for one vacancy on the Fairfield Community School District Board of Directors and will appear on the April 1 special election ballot.
Former school board member Amy Miller, elected in 2011, resigned in November.
Philip Miller was appointed by the school board to fill the vacancy until the next school district election, which is April 1.

Two candidates, Stephen Robert Pumphrey and Philip Miller, have filed for one vacancy on the Fairfield Community School District Board of Directors and will appear on the April 1 special election ballot.

Philip Miller was appointed by the school board to fill the vacancy until the next school district election, which is April 1.
The candidate elected to fill the seat April 1 will serve on the board until the end of Amy Miller?s four-year term, September 2015.
The special election also is asking voters to approve a 10-year continuation of the 67-cent Physical Plant and Equipment Levy.
