Car strikes deer
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office responded to a report of a car/deer accident on U.S. 34 at 8:47 p.m. on May 25.
Suann Marie Wells, 43, of Burlington, was driving her 2007 Pontiac Solstice east on U.S. 34 when a deer ran into the road; she was unable to avoid the deer or struck it in the curbside lane.
No injuries were reported, but damages to the Wells vehicle were estimated at $3,000.
