Car strikes deer on Highway 218
Henry County Sheriff?s deputies responded to a car/deer accident Sept. 19 at the 3200 grid of U.S. Highway 218.
The accident report revealed that a 1987 Toyota, owned and operated by Marvin Boyles of West Point, was traveling north on Highway 218 when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and come to rest in the east ditch.

Henry County Sheriff?s deputies responded to a car/deer accident Sept. 19 at the 3200 grid of U.S. Highway 218.
The accident report revealed that a 1987 Toyota, owned and operated by Marvin Boyles of West Point, was traveling north on Highway 218 when the vehicle struck a deer in the roadway, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and come to rest in the east ditch.
Henry County Health Center Ambulance and the Salem First Responders reported to the scene as minor injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at approximately $1,500.
