Cardinal third, Pekin first at home Invitational
PACKWOOD ? The Pekin boys? track and field team took home the title in the green division of the Pekin Invitational Thursday night in Packwood.

PACKWOOD ? The Pekin boys? track and field team took home the title in the green division of the Pekin Invitational Thursday night in Packwood.
The Panthers received first-place finishes from Jeremy Tosh in the 800 (2:09.94 and 1600-meter (4:59) runs, Trey Sathoff in the high jump (6? 3?), Zach Mosbey in the shot put (47? 7?), Matt Jones in the long jump (19? 3.25?), Brady Lamb in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.89), and the 4x800 (8:39) and 1600-meter medley relay (3:53.87). The 4x800 team consisted of Tosh, Lamb, Jones and Derek Robison while the medley relay team had Jones, Robison, Sathoff and Chapman.
?We continue to improve as a team and we are become a better all around team in all events,? said head coach Davis Eidahl. ?It will take time, but things are looking up.?
Cardinal took third place in the six-team field with second-place finishes from A.J. Ratchford in the 110-meter hurdles (16.68), Marcus Giltner in the long jump (18? 9.5?) and Raymond Booth in the 1600-meter run (5:06). the 4x800 relay team was also second for Cardinal in 9:22.
