Cardinal tops Van Buren
KEOSAUQUA ? Cardinal won an SEISC south division game against rival Van Buren by a final score of 9-2 Thursday night.

KEOSAUQUA ? Cardinal won an SEISC south division game against rival Van Buren by a final score of 9-2 Thursday night.
As the Comets prepare for three games this weekend, Allison Ollom pitched her second game of the year and shut down the Warriors. Ollom struck out nine and gave up five hits to earn the win.
Sarah Greiner and Cory Campbell finished with two RBIs for Cardinal, Chelsea Aschenbrenner drove in two more while going 2-4, Liz Nichols was 2-4 with one RBI and Felisha Durlinger came around to score twice.
Payten Hughes was the losing pitcher for Van Buren and went 2-3 at the plate.
Next up for Van Buren is a road game against Harmony Monday.
Cardinal has a trip to the Des Moines area to play the Urbandale Invite this weekend. The Comets are schedule to play Des Moines Lincoln and Cedar Rapids Xavier this evening and will have one more game Saturday morning.
