County eighth-grade students from the Mt. Pleasant, New London and WACO Community School districts were treated to a Schools to Careers Consortium at Iowa Wesleyan College, sponsored by Henry County Healthy Communities. Colin McCormick of Hearth and Home Technologies, Mt. Pleasant, distributes supplies needed to construct candy sacks in the top photo. McCormick had a session on science and engineering where students were to construct bags and then improve the design when the sacks would break. The consoritum was part of the HHCC 2020 Vision program.
