The Carnegie Museum Foundation is hosting a Trivia Night Fundraiser at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Community Center in Fairfield, located at 209 S. Court St.
Do you know your Fairfield and Jefferson County history? If not, now's your chance to learn! The Carnegie Museum Foundation trivia night is shaping up to be a fun and engaging event as well as a great opportunity to learn more about our shared past while also supporting a worthy cause.
With categories ranging from local business to pioneer history to Parsons Trivia, you are bound to know some of the answers.
“This trivia night is designed to be a night of fun,” says Brittney Tiller, a member of the Carnegie Museum Foundation Board. “But it's also an important fundraiser for us. We use the money we raise to help preserve this valuable historic building. Without our support, it would be lost forever.”
Participants are invited to come on their own or assemble a team ahead of time. Groups of 4-6 will form teams to compete for prizes and prestige. Snacks will be provided. Register by calling the museum at 641-472-6343. Entry fee is $20 per person and can be paid ahead of time at the museum or at the door the night of the event.
Gather your team and get ready for a night of fun and facts. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Carnegie Museum Foundation's mission of preserving and maintaining the Carnegie Library building. In recent years, the Foundation has been working on a capital campaign to raise major funds to preserve this historic building. Fundraising for the first two phases is now complete. Fundraising will now go toward the third and final phase.
The Carnegie Museum Foundation will host a Trivia Night fundraiser on Oct. 14.
