Carroll Shelman Crane

Carroll Shelman Crane, 98, of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Round Prairie, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mount Pleasant.

  A service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Timothy Graham and the Rev. Mike Hess officiating. Burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery, southeast of Lockridge.

Family visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant. 

Memorials may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church.

  Mr. Crane was born Dec. 22, 1911, in Jefferson County, the son of Walter and Elsie Shelman Crane. He married Lola Gladyce Williams in October 1934. She died Nov. 7, 1957. He married Marie Swan Sloan Oct. 15, 1962. She died June 29, 2002.
