FAIRFIELD – Cedar Rose Spa opened its doors on June 28, bringing together the skills of five wellness professionals all under one roof.
The business is located at 405 N. Court St., the former home of Sanctuary Spa. The women who work at the business are Rebecca Lanksy, Melissa Mahon, Angela Wagner, Śankari Menon Wegman and Haley Brickner.
Lansky said the women got together to create a holistic spa experience, with each one able to offer something different to help clients feel better. Lansky has worked as an esthetician and is well versed in a variety of treatments. Wagner is a massage therapist, and Mahon is an aesthetician who is also a nurse practitioner. Lansky explained that the five of them have their own businesses, but work together to create a fulfilling spa experience.
And even though the business just started, the women are looking for more spa members. Lansky said they’re looking for a female acupuncturist to complement the other skills they already have at the spa.
Work is underway on an Airbnb on one end of the building, and that should be finished by mid-December. Wagner and Lansky said the addition of a sauna should be ready before then, too. The spa offers red light treatments, a Halo salt room, a floating depravation pod, a eucalyptus steam room, and a cold plunge.
The women said they are excited to be able to offer a day’s worth of spa activities, something not available in Fairfield or even the wider area outside of perhaps The Raj in Maharishi Vedic City.
Lansky said that since she joined the spa, her business has doubled. Wagner mentioned that she was also pleasantly surprised, as her schedule was fully booked the first week she was open. The women at the spa focus on creating the most comfortable environment possible, with high-end luxury hotel robes, hot towels, beautiful artwork and many organic products to choose from. They’re also especially proud of the artwork done for the hallways by artist Sasha Luse.
