WASHINGTON — Creations by Char owner Char Anderson retires Feb. 25. In celebration, the Washington Chamber of Commerce hosted an “Alive After Five” event at her shop in the Village Tuesday night.
“Creations by Char has been a staple in our community for over 20 years and we were honored to help,” Washington Chamber of Commerce Director Michelle Redlinger said. “Supporting small businesses that are locally owned is the heart of the Washington Chamber of Commerce. We are extremely excited to see her enjoy her retirement as well as see her pass the reins to another local entrepreneur.”
Anderson thanked the community and said she looked forward to retirement.
“It takes a village, and I am grateful to have been a part of this store since its opening in 2008,” she said. “Ron and I plan to do more traveling and finish some more projects after we retire.”
The space currently used for Creations by Char at the Village will become a new boutique owned by RePurpose It, called Purposefully You, in March.
“I am blessed to join The Village with a new boutique,” RePurpose It owner Leslie Allender said. “Purposefully You will continue to offer familiar brands that Creations by Char carried. We will also be introducing some new brands and styles.”
