Champions named at livestock shows
The 2003 Breeding Sheep and Market Lamb Show opened the 4-H and FFA judging events early Tuesday morning at the Washington County Fair.
Brandon Freel of the Limecreek Livewires 4-H Club took home several trophies at the conclusion of the Sheep Show. He showed the Grand Champion Commercial Breeding Sheep, the Champion Ewe Lamb and the Reserve Champion Market Lamb.

The 2003 Breeding Sheep and Market Lamb Show opened the 4-H and FFA judging events early Tuesday morning at the Washington County Fair.
Brandon Freel of the Limecreek Livewires 4-H Club took home several trophies at the conclusion of the Sheep Show. He showed the Grand Champion Commercial Breeding Sheep, the Champion Ewe Lamb and the Reserve Champion Market Lamb.
The Crooked Creek 4-H Club walked away with all three sheep showmanship trophies. Ariel Davis won the junior division; Eric Davis, intermediate, and Clay Wells, senior.
Staci Sieren's lamb earned the Champion Market Lamb trophy.
In the Production Lamb Class, Evan Hammes of the 76 Progressives showed the Champion, with Caleb Boyd and Ariel Davis picking up the Reserve award. Davis also received the Reserve Commercial Ewe Lamb trophy.
The Horse and Pony Show began at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.Hanna Schneider of the Limecreek Limelights was named the Champion Senior Showman at Halter. Amanda Immerman of the Horse and Pony 4-H Club was awarded the Intermediate Showmanship at Halter award. The Junior Champion Showman at Halter was Lisa Schneider of the Horse and Pony Club.
Jillian Hotchkiss of the Prairie Pride 4-H Club showed the Champion Halter Pony. Breann Barnett of the Horse and Pony 4-H Club received the Reserve award.
The Champion Halter Horse was shown by Barnett; the Reserve by Tommy Hershberger of the Horse and Pony Club.
